That, Redhead!

Updated: Jan 7, 2023

The life of a Redhead.

Welcome to the very first debut of: "That, Redhead!" January 3rd. 2023.

We will be covering everything I've learned about being a Redhead, and navigating through life as one.

If you happen to be among the 2% of the population that just so happens to have the genetic mutation gene, congrats! Because this one is for you guys.

What to expect

I've decided to have my very own little segment, completely dedicated to:

"That, Redhead!" Where we will be discussing topics, well... being a Redhead.

From what color schemes that suit us, and what to stay away from. To the best products, made for us. We will even cover and uncover history, myths, and the usual things that redheads get asked and how we live.

(And yes, when I say redhead, it counts for gingers, strawberry blonds & alike.)

I've been sitting on this idea since the beginning of December, and I knew I couldn't wait any longer. Now with it being the new year and all, it was the prefect time to start something new! And this was the kind of fresh blog content I wanted to bring in.

However, I have a bunch of new and big ideas for "Write Your Life" planned, and I can't wait to share them with you all!

If this sounds like something you would enjoy reading about, and/or are a fellow Redhead yourself, make sure to sign up for the email following list! That way you wont miss a beat.

Want to connect more? You can find me here at Instagram and Twitter.

(And my goal is to start a podcast within a few months!) I will also make it easy to find it from here, when its up and running.

A Snippet: That, Redhead! Issue #1

Before I go, allow me to give you a sneak peek preview of what's to come from the first "That, Redhead!"

A Day In The Life

Hello, It's me. Your everyday, friendly neighborhood Redhead.

I'm not sure if you know this, but having Red hair is kind of like having a superpower. No. Really.

There's lots of things that I enjoy, in which comes with being a Redhead.

But I'll get to those in time, of course.

First, I need to start from the beginning. I was indeed born with the fiery curly locks, and I couldn't be happier. Don't get me wrong, other hair colors are lovely! But if I'm being honest, I don't think another color would quite suit me, as Red does.

The dark, copper Red has a sort of "label" if you will, that says: Caution. May Have A Temper, Mysterious, And Prone To Shenanigans And Malarkey.

(And I like it like that.)

It's also a reminder of part of my heritage, the emerald isle herself. Ireland.

And being someone who honors, as well as respects Heritage, Culture, and Family

I smile, for I am proud!

Throughout the years I've noticed that I have gotten more compliments, than insult of being a Redhead.

And even though this might sound a tad bit comical, the worst thing that I've been called was, "Redhead" in a mean off hand sort of way. Which I couldn't help but respond in laughing to the rude girl that said this.

But overall, people have been kind with their words and some even go on to tell me about how they know or have a Redhead in their family. I of course thank them, and it genuinely makes my day!

In fact, one of the most common things that I've gotten, is along the lines of, "You should love your hair." And "Never dye it." And "One day you will love it."

(And be as may that I have loved my hair my entire life, and have heard this time and time again, it still makes me smile.)

Now, on to the stuff I just know you're dying to hear.

Like for instance, is it true that Redheads-

Until next time, loves. Xx. -A

Currently: It's late at night on a Monday. I'm sitting here, in bed with laptop and writing this blog post that I've been wanting to write for WEEKS.

Needless to say, I am very excited to start this new segment and share it with you angels.

(The only thing keeping me up, is my coffee at this point. Not to mention the vintage French music playing in the background.)

It's still very new in the new year, which means, yes. I have dived deep into my resolutions, self care, you name it. But as always, I'm keeping it light and fun! Because when it becomes stressful and too much too soon, it can be hard to meet our goals and when this happens, we tend to get dismayed. I'm determined for this not to happen.

In which I have to make a few changes in my routine... For the time being, there will be a new post on this blog once a week every Tuesday, instead of twice a week being Tuesday And Friday.

I know. This saddens me also. However, if I am going to give good content, and meet a few other goals this year, I have to make room in my schedule.

I though it would be best for you loves to hear it directly from me, before I made this change.
