Welcome to my online bookshelf!

The Traveling Coffee Shoppe Angels In The House

As an Author, I've created a few written worlds. And when doing so, I have had the upmost pleasure of bringing these worlds to life. In which they are filled with a great many different things.

Of course, it depends on which one you pick up and decide to read, on what adventure you'll be taking.

What charters you'll meet. What unexpected and unknown lands you venture to. And even perhaps you will get the chance to come face to face with a helpful spirit living in a coffee shop, or meet a mystical Phooka from the Emerald Isle. Maybe you will stop at nothing to uncover a family secret or two. Or perhaps find out that purple jumping spiders are friendly, and not scary at all.

But for today, we will be discussing one book, "The Traveling Coffee Shoppe, Angels In The House."

But don't worry, there will be a blog post about each book, so you won't miss a thing! You can find them at the top tab labeled "My Book Nook."

Like I said, It all depends on what book you choose. And today, I'll be sharing a little more in-depth deception and a "behind the scenes" about my new book series!

So grab a hot cuppa, get comfy, and get ready to add this one to your TBR, (To Be Read List) If it strikes your fancy!

The Traveling Coffee Shoppe, Angels In The House

The, "The Traveling Coffee Shoppe, Angels In The House" is a new book series, centered around the Main character, "Melva May McNew." Who was a women that lived in the 1800's. She was born in a little coffee shop that her parents owned, and as the years passed, she passed away from old age, there as well.

Only her life wasn't at the end of its journey. It was only the beginning.

As the divine would have it, Melva had angels watching over her. Assigning her earthly missions to help others in need.

When someone is both brought to life, and in the same place as they have died, It leaves a sort of mark behind. And being that Melva was a special person already, there was sure to be miracles and magic to continue on.

As Melva goes on these missions, she sometimes comes across the most peculiar of folk. And sometimes... they happen to be other than human. But someone or something from another world or dimension or from another time.

Yes, you read that right. Melva can travel through time and space, (with the help of her angels,) all the while in her coffee shop!

As you read through the pages of this book, you come along with Melva on her adventures. As well as meet the people and friends that she meets through her travels.

Where you will meet, Tia, Poke, and even the Angels!

As long as you enjoy a good story, Melva will happily give one. Right along with a freshly brewed cup of coffee. For she has an ear to listen, and the gift to gab.

As of right now, there is one book to this series. I'm currently working on the second installment, as we speak. And I absolutely can't wait to share it will all of you!

Melva will return, and so will her friends. Helping and traveling as they go.

Each book will reveal more about the characters, while the short stories unfold.

(The Christmas one is my favorite) Although each one is special to me.

With the Holiday season being here in just days, this is a great read to cuddle up and relax with, while the snow falls, light music plays on in the background, and reading by the light of the Christmas tree.

(Oh, that sounds wonderful! I know what I'm doing tonight!)

The Inspiration

The inspiration behind this book, would have to come from my own strange, certain experience I had some years back. My mom and I took a trip to Indiana, for about a week. And on the first day when we were walking around the small downtown area, we came across a little shoppe, tucked away between a few others.

As you gazed upon the building, it was noticeably touching the buildings next to it. And you could tell that the bricks that it was made of, was much older than the rest. As we looked up, a sign above the door read; "The Three Sisters."

The windows, showed lotions and soaps, at the counter, toward the right. As well as to the left, the walls were lined with boxes, what I soon found out later, were filled with hats, shoes, and such.

As you walked through the door, a bell tinkled, letting the shop owners know of our presence. It was warm, and brightly lit inside. And I must admit, I especially liked the hanging lights and fabrics from the wall and ceiling.

As we admired the shop, one sister of the three, came to the counter to greet us, with a smile. She was very kind and we ended up sitting down and talking with her for some time. After a while, it was time for us to go. But before we left, she gave us each a pair of new sandals, free of charge! We were immensely grateful for the kind act. And thanked her.

My mom had told her that we were a bit low on money, and times were tough at that moment for us. It wasn't that we didn't have shoes, but the sneakers we had for the trip was hot for the summer, and a bit beat up.

We left, and came back the next day, to say hello. There was then two out of the three sisters. The second sister was as kind as the first. We walked "out back" And I say it like this, because now that I think of it, its odd how there was any room for stairs and small balcony at all, with the buildings tightly packed together. We sat and talked with them, and learned that the third sister was out someplace else for the time being.

Before we left, they surprised my mom with lunch money for us to go out to eat. We had money for food, just not for extra restaurant splurges is all.

We thanked them for their kindness, and left to go have lunch.

While my mom and I enjoyed getting a bite to eat at an outside sandwich shop, we sat down at a table and talked about how wonderful everything had been going. And how two strangers were so kind to us.

For our trip was almost over and we would soon go back home in a few days. By the following day, we didn't get a chance to go into town, but by the next, we did.

After we walked into a few other shops, and passed the old theater, and a blockbuster, (Ik, it's hard to find those anywhere these days.)

We went straight to where we found the little shoppe, to say goodbye to our new friends.

Now, for what I'm about to tell you, is 100% truth. I assure you.

When we came to where the door and the rest of where the shop was suppose to be, It wasn't there. It was gone. And so were the three sisters, along with it.

My mom and I were both lost for words, to say the least.

For the last couple days we walked right to where we were now, and were not lost by any means. Confused, we went across the street into another store, and after that, a few others, asking the more shop owners if they had known the sisters, and what happened to the shop.

Their answers startled us even more. They had absolutely no clue what we were talking about and hadn't heard of them in all the years they lived there.

But I remember this, they had told us that they were thinking of moving the shop somewhere new... But there was no way you can pack a full store and storeroom, and literally take the shop with you within one day. That's impossible... Right?

In the end, my mom and I had come to the conclusion, that it was one of those strange things that you happen to hear that some people experience. Something that science nor, a single rational answer can explain it.

Did we meet Angels? Ghosts? Or was all of it something else entirely?

But now I am happy to sit here, write this blog, and enjoy relaxing for the time being. Because the upcoming month is going to busy!
