Reinventing Your Life

As the title refers, I have done this a few times in my life. And I'm about to lay it all out precisely how it happens to be. That way, perhaps this will help others reinvent their life if that is what they are looking for. And that is precisely what we will be covering today.

Now, I know that the whole idea can be a tad bit daunting and you maybe even thinking that you now have to change drastically or start over in everything. I'm here to tell you that isn't the case. At least not in the way I mean. Allow me to further explain.

Taking Life One Step at a Time

If you happen to be among those who are looking for a way to change things up a bit. Then you're in the right place. As I have said, I've done this sort of thing a few times.

And when doing so, I have picked up some very interesting and quite decent set of notes along the way, that will be of help.

Start by knowing that everything in this beautiful world of ours, takes time.

And becoming the best version of yourself should definitely not be rushed, nor any short cuts be made.

Take the time to find the things that best suit you. What makes you happy.

Really think on what you want to change and re-create.

Do you have a clear picture of what that looks like? Good. Let's move on to the next step.

Little By Little

Incorporate little things at a time. For example, let's say you want to ween yourself off sweets. I suggest by slowly taking them away gradually and add something healthier in its place.

Another great example could be you might want to give up an old hobby and start a new one. Begin to learn as much as you can on what this new hobby will need to start up. Money and time wise.

Or you might even be looking for a slightly more drastic take. For instance, a new home, car, career, move across state or changing your name even... Yep. I've been there too. And done it all.

Getting Personal

When I was about fourteen, my mom and I moved from our home state Michigan to Florida. Even though we were there for nearly a decade, and I'm now twenty-three years old, we recently traveled back to Michigan and enjoying some much-needed family time.

Most of my life I've moved to different towns and different schools and haven't minded it one bit. In fact, I love the adventure!

After becoming an Author, I wanted to change my name. Don't get me wrong, I liked my old name just fine. But I wanted something different. Because I felt like it really didn't suit me anymore. And so, Astria Jade Mikaelson was born. I actually kept my middle name because it was my favorite part.

Back when I was in school, I was always the "new girl" and it had more perks than downfalls. This gave me the advantage and time to try new things.

I quickly learned the only sport that I could excel at was cheerleading. Because anything else involving a ball of some sort, I seemed to get hit in the face with... A lot.

I fit perfect in the choir/band/drama areas quite well and enjoyed it immensely.

Art was another big part that I particularly enjoyed.

I was the type to get along with everyone.

Although the one downfall, was that at nearly every school, all these kids already had their friend groups.

And I continued to change it up.

When It's come to careers, I've changed my mind a few times.

A good part of my life, I wanted to be a dancer. Mainly ballet and hip-hop. You wouldn't think first thing that they go together, but they do, quite perfectly in fact.

For a long time, I wanted to be a marine biologist. I still have a love for animals and Marie life, and still try to be mindful of things to help keep the earth safer/cleaner and such.

Then I wanted to become a profiler, sounding criminal phycology. I have always been intrigued by how and why people do and say the things they do and the whole idea behind it. Not to mention, I'm not that bad at problem solving and mysteries are thrilling to crack.

Finally, I happened to land on a career that would stick. Something that I had an absolute passion for. And that was writing. Stories have been one of my favorites in my life, all through my childhood and into my adult life. By becoming an author, I truly felt like I was home. And I was doing what I was born to do.

Even though I had a love for the others, there were quite a few reasons and mostly personal reasons why they didn't pan out either. But I think the better survived.

And when it comes to trying to switch to the healthy stuff in food wise, I still have a hard time stopping myself from eating chocolate and cheesy/salty things.

What can ya do? we're human and not everything is going to go the plan and what you may think. Just keep trying your best and eventually everything will be fine.

Although I will say, I have been able to incorporate better food choices into my life more in the last couple of years. So, I take that as a win!

Don't even get me started on the hobbies that I have tried over the years. There's too many to even count. but I will say that by going through different times in my life and learning as I go, I have found some that have truly benefited me.

Wheather that in money, or helpful for the mind/body/soul.

And in my opinion, those are the best ones.

To This Day

I'm still trying to learn new things, such as languages, and self-defense techniques.

I enjoy reinventing myself and evolving in the best ways I know how.

The best tip and advice I can give to you is this, be yourself, find what makes you happy and go for it, don't let doubt win, know that you have time and can do great things, stay constant and above all, know that the universe can surprise you in so many ways than possible. So, there is no need to worry your pretty little head about the small stuff. Have fun with reimaging the endless possibilities.

Everything in life has change a part of its story. And you have many chapters ahead of you to love and to be excited for.

Everything that you're searching for, is already within you.

Xx.-A

Currently: First, I would like to say a big thank you to all of the blog family!

Secondly, I wanted to say that I enjoy writing and will continue to write on the Write Your Life blog, but instead of a new post every week, I'm changing for the time being to twice a month.

This is because I have been wanting to make extra time for the writing of the second book in the Highlands of Ireland Myth & Magic series.

I'm hopeful that it will be ready within six to twelve months. As an Author, I miss diving into my written worlds.

This also applies to the podcast as well. Instead of every Friday, it will be a couple times a month after this week is done.

I sincerely hope you have enjoyed this post and listening to the pod!

I will also be on my socials a bit less, as I am doing a digital detox of sorts again.

I find it better for when I am writing. But you can always contact me via Instagram or Twitter.

And don't forget to enjoy this gorgeous spring day!

With all my love, - Astria.
