Hello and salutations dear readers! You may be wondering what shop could I possibly be talking about? Well, it just so happens to be my very own online shop. And who knows, perhaps it will become a fully operational brick and mortar place!
But until then, I will have to take you on a journey to my online Etsy store.
Jades will also be available here on the Write Your Life blog, where you can see photos/videos and even purchase what strikes your fancy!
What Sort of Shop Is It?
Everything, (except for the vintage finds and interesting books) is handmade with love. There is a wide range of one-of-a-kind journals, Ribbons, bags, cards, pdf creations, wedding gifts, beautiful bundles, paper packs, fine jewelry, napkin art, soy wax melts, home decor AND in about a month will be some bookmarks, paintings and stickers coming into stock!!
I'm even hopeful to have a line of candles ready in a few months down the road.
Around the holidays, there is always an abundance of special items too!
So be ready to see all sorts of lovely things to choose from.
I am so very happy and excited to share this with you, loves, and grow this business.
Each handmade creation is unique in its own design.
And most are perfect for gifts for a friend or loved one.
Before Jades, there was The Handmade Cottage shop, and then there was another Etsy store I had which was called The Crows Nest. I wanted to continue on with my first shop but sadly at that time Etsy was having problems, and a lot of people were either leaving the selling platform or having problems with their accounts and what not. And so, it was decided that The Crows Nest had to be turned off. And as for The Handmade Cottage, I loved the name but I needed to change things up bit. And so I changed the name to Jades and livened up the place.
Etsy finally started fixing things and certain elements were changed in the meantime.
And I decided to give it another go. Jades was born not long after and I really hope it thrives as much and more as the first store did!
Where Did It Get Its Name?
One day my mom and I were throwing around ideas for what we could call the new shop. There were so many great ideas it was almost impossible to choose just one.
And so, we decided to name it after my middle name. Jade!
What's The "Aesthetic" Of the Brand?
The overall look of the creations gives off, (in my opinion,) is a more thoughtful down to earth and sweet sort of vibe.
It's a place where you can browse and find something for yourself or for a certain person in mind.
Ever since I was little, I always enjoyed making cards and gifts for my family, especially around the holidays! So, I suppose it was perfectly fitting for me to open my very own shop with such things for others to enjoy.

Currently: At the moment, I'm currently crunching in this week's blog post, because it's a few days late. Be as it may, I was determined for it to see the light of day.
As soon as I hit publish here, I will be going straight to recording this week's podcast to get it out as soon as possible.
I will also be putting the finishing touches on some earrings and grabbing a nice hot peppermint cuppa in the between times.
It's a bit of a rainy day but I don't mind. It's actually pretty relaxing and quite calming.
