The WHY
So, you may be asking yourself, "Why should I shop small business when I can just buy it from a big corporate chain?" Well, there is a few reasons why shopping small can lead to big and wonderful changes in someone's life or yours!
But first, let me break it down a little bit. In this article I will list some of the major key factors and reasons you should make it a healthy habit to shop small.
We'll start with the biggest reason of all. Dreams!
When you decide to buy from a small business, you help create BIG DREAMS.
And it no longer seems small. Does it? Nope! At least not to me.
I'm a small business owner myself, and I can say firsthand that it takes A LOT of hard work, dedication, and can be tiring and challenging at times. But it's also very rewarding, and I absolutely love that I can create beautiful things and work towards my goals being an Entrepeneur.
My Shop & I
My shop is called Jades, and you can find it on Etsy. I've always wanted my work to be able to help others, and really make a difference in the world. And so, it was decided that I would only use 100% eco-friendly packaging when I can and furthermore, would give 10% from every purchase to help the homeless!
Later on, once the shop building up, I can help with rescued animal shelters and giving towards indigenous communities with an indigenous inspired line of works.
The shop is making good progress at the moment, but I hope to continue to grow it so big that it even surpasses my hope for it. I know it sounds ambitious, but this time next year, I plan on making it 50x bigger and better!
Others' Dreams
But I'm not the only one who dreams of better things. There are plenty of other small business out there just waiting for you to find them and fall in love with their shop and make a purchase. Because for some it could be more of a Hobby. Although for others it might be a way to help feed their families. It just might be their lives depending on its success.
If you're not sure where to find one, go to Instagram, Facebook or X and search with the #smallbusiness I promise that you will find the perfect one for you.
Who knows, maybe you've help given the courage to someone whose thinking about quitting on their dreams.
And don't we all deserve a chance at our dreams and the best life? I believe so!
Before Shopping Corporate Remember this
So next time you hop on your computer, ask yourself this one question: "Can I get this from a small business?" And I'm sure that about 99% of the time you will be able to.
And this goes for other big name brand stores.
So, please be more mindful when choosing a place to shop. It could mean a lot to a REAL PERSON. They much deserve your dollars than those greedy big corporates do. Trust me.
And not to mention, quite a few want to create change in the way I hope too as well.
Your Choices
When it comes to our choices, it may seem irrelevant at the time, but it's not.
Our choices are what shape us into who we are and the world around us.
With that being said, I'll leave you with this.
We all have to start making better decisions that will not only help us be better but for others in this big, beautiful world. Even think how your actions will impact the earth and all of its precious creatures.

Life Lately: Well, to be honest the only things that have been keeping me busy in writing my books and working on the new autumn and winter lines for the shop.
Other than that, my life has been kind of easy going this last month. But are a few more surprises coming. So, no worries, loves. There will be more blogs and podcasts VERY SOON! Xx.
