How To Stop Procrastinating and Live Your Life to the Fullest!

The Truth

I'm about to share the best tips and tricks I've picked up and learn along the way and pass them onto you.

Because I know how it can be. When in life, there are things that we know we have to do, in order to either to reach a certain goal for ourselves, a new job or some form of work has to be done, or you might have to have a conversation with someone that you really don't want to have.

But what all these things have in common, is that you don't want to tackle them quite yet. You will... eventually. (This is what you tell yourself anyways.)

And you might get them done or maybe one or two things. But the longer you wait, the more undesirable the task at hand becomes.

I'll say this, please don't put it off. There are actually reasons for you not wanting to be productive in this area. And I'm about to let you in on a little secret.

Everyone has this! But if you feed into procrastinating more and more as the days, months, years go on, it will get worse.

So do yourself the favor, and when the time comes for you to get this task done and over with, do it!

It will be so satisfying when you have.

Take Action!

Let's say you are feeling ready to kick procreation in the butt. Good on you!

Start by tackling the very top one you don't feel like doing.

Get the hardest crossed off the to do list first thing. You'll thank me later.

This is what known successful people do. And you can do the very same.

Next, break down each task at a time. and as soon one is accomplished and out of the way, reward yourself on a job well done. Or with some chocolate. We all have our preferred ways. ;)

After a while (30-60 days ish) you will have formed a healthy habit of being a responsible person and feel good about yourself at the same time. As you should! Look at you being a little bad ass and getting things done!

Another great thing to do is really think on the "why" factor of the situation.

Is the thing that you are putting off important to you in some way?

If so, use this as fuel to power drive you into getting it done.

It's the easiest form of ambition creation yet.

Did you know?

Have you ever heard of the main reason why people usually put things off.

It's because they are afraid. Afraid of the outcome. Afraid of failure. Afraid of, fill in the blank.

This don't have to be you. Nor should it.

decide right now that you are a person on action!

And eventually, everything will start lining up how you want it to be.

Trust in yourself and put forth the effort into your life and what you want.

Be sure to starve distractions, ex: phone, laptop, loud or unwanted noise, ect.

When forming any habit, it's good to stay focused on what you want to accomplish until finished. Over time, procrastinating won't be in your daily routine anymore, and you will feel more relaxed and better about yourself.

For procrastination can't live in an environment where there is no one to give it power.

Affirmations

If you know me, then you know that I love placing kind and thoughtful affirmations into my life. And this too, with time that is, will come easier to you.

"My future self will thank me."

"I am confident in myself."

"I am taking action today, so I live in the future of my choosing."

"I can overcome any challenges in my way."

"I am in control of my thoughts and actions."

Lastly

Always keep your future self in mind. If you do this, then you know you're on the right track of motivation.

For example, let's say you really need to get back to doing more of your self-care, and have been putting it off for a day or so now. You know this is good for your over-all physical, mental, and emotional health, right?

And this is not only beneficial to you right at this very moment, but its equally, if not more beneficial for the future.

If you know that sometime is good for you, or helpful in any way shape or form, please don't put it off.

Do the 5-minute rule if need be. Take whatever you are doing at the moment and take at least 5 minutes to put toward of one those tasks.

You will have started and that is the hardest part. Once you begin, you will have 5 minutes or even more by the time you're done!

Quote to think about

Charles Dickens once said; "My advice is to never do tomorrow what you can do today. Procrastination is the thief of time."
