How YOU can make the best out of this week!
When you think of all of the many things that go into a healthy day, which ones make the "cut" into the overall week? Every day is different, therefor creating endless possibilities that you can change it up and have fun with.
Not only you should try to implicate better and healthier options into your life, but you should equally enjoy the activities too!
You may even be asking yourself, "Do I live a healthy life?" "Are there a few changes that I can make to better ensure a healthier version of myself?" "And what are the things in my life that are not so healthy?"
These three questions can help you a great deal in how you answer them, throughout a healthy lifestyle journey.
So where do you get the right motivation for such tasks?
Allow me to give you the best answers that will not only motivate but help jump start a series of healthy habits to stick to.
Healthy Body
In order for the body to be considered healthy, one must take a look at three factors. One, is how you move your body, two, is how you feed your body, and three, is how you treat your body.
Thankfully, there are a great deal of techniques that you can try for the moving of the body.
There is the traditional running/sprinting, and part time workout sports such as Boxing, and Kirate that gets your blood really flowing. Or if you like to take the calmer approach, you can walk leisurely or even try yoga and/or Tai Chi. Just to name a few.
There is an app called "Steps" and for so much walking over time, you can plant real trees to help the earth! How cool is that?
If you ever want to learn something new, take to the internet! (The trick is not getting distracted.) And take a little time out of your week to start pursuing a new goal or pick up where you might have left off beforehand.
I do know that if you go to YouTube, and go to the search bar, type in something like: Tai Chi for beginners. You will get literally dozens upon dozens of content. Simply choose the best looking one to you and start. And bam! You have taken the first step.
Now, on to the part on how you feed your body. Take notice on what you are actually putting away. Are you the kind of person that takes a look at the ingredients before purchasing an item in the store? or do you shrug your shoulders and plop it into the cast and say, "I always buy this, so there's no harm."
I used to do this too. That was until I began seeing videos on social media, of people sharing on what certain ingredients mean and just how harmful they were to my body. In fact, after I started learning about this, I saw a variety of items from various marketplaces, having unhealthy additives and more. I was disgusted to say the least.
So please, be mindful of what you are digesting.
(Needless to say, McDonalds French fries are on the "do not eat list" for me, and many other fast "foods.")
When thinking about how you treat your body, this part is closer to how you not only see yourself and have a healthy perspective about you as a whole.
You might consider your hair care. For instance, taking a moment to learn what type of hair you have, (as it ranges to everyone in a unique way,) and what are some things you can start doing and caring for it the right way. This goes for skin care, (not only face and neck but head to toes, my friend.)
Healthy Mind
In order to keep a healthy mind, you have to value your mind. It's as easy as that. Take a second to be thankful of how your mind works. How it continually helps you without fail throughout the day. Pretty amazing? Right?
Just how it's good to know what you're feeding your body, it's good to know what you're feeding your mind.
Here's a little exercise for you, that you can start with. Try to be more positive. Because usually things are not as bad as they appear. It's us that think, re-think and stew on things that give it such power over us, whatever it may be.
Try for seven days in a row, to stop and think. Think about how wonderful it is that you woke up today. How you can make changes every single day. And that you can have faith in the possibilities of what's to come! Staying in this way of thinking will begin to rewire your brain to see the better outcomes, the nicer side of things, and more.
Another way to train your brain, is to keep learning something new.
Humans have a tendency to think there are limits that we put on ourselves, and when we see this limit be broken by another individual, it's inspiring! (Take the 4-minute mile story, for instance.)
There are athletes that use visualization, imagining a great outcome of what they are about to accomplish. There is scientific proof, that these athletes have done exceedingly well when using this technique.
The mind is a powerful tool. And we use way more than the old myth of only 10%.
And guess what? You got one! Now take the precious time to use it and live!
You can take up that hobby that you always wanted to try, learn a language, or practice affirmations. There are SO MANY other ways to explore and challenge yourself!
Healthy Soul
Our soul can be thought of as a few different things, depending on who you are and what you believe. For me, I believe that our soul is the essence, the spirit, that drives us, that is eternal.
To have a healthy soul, it's good to let things in and let things go.
Such as the things that may be in your past, what you regret, and all of those pesky "what if's?" Let these go. Know that these do not need to be living within you and these serve no good purpose.
You can cast them away at any moment. And once you begin to put faith into the person that you truly are and who you are becoming, then it will seem like nothing.
When letting certain things in, these are the hopefuls, the serenity, and love.
With bringing in more of these three wonderful things into your life, you will only be brought more of these things.
And I don't know about you, but it certainly sounds a lot better than the other.
I like to meditate, listen to uplifting music, enjoy some coffee and dance on a regular basis. (And I'm not joking either.) With these I feel like I can take on the world!
You just have to take five minutes or less and figure out what are the top things, such as I have listed, that bring you joy that you can do every day.
Feeling good about yourself and taking the necessary action that will continue to make you feel good.
Otherwise, nothing changes, if nothing changes. This goes to all areas of living.
What it comes down to
I'm going to be kind about this but blunt... You already know what you have to do, in order to start seeing better and healthier results in your life.
I have faith in you, and you should too!
Don't just get off this post after reading and sit on the couch, this won't help you in the slightest. Do at least one thing that will motivate you.
Have a blessed day, and best of everything to you and your healthy week. And who knows, perhaps you will extend the week to a month, or even hopefully to years.
Currently: Today I finally got the rest of the editing and posting on the latest podcast episode! Where I talk about my new finance blog!! Here is a link to Write Your Life with Astria Mikaelson. If you would like to give it a listen. I also plan of having an article here next Tuesday, talking exclusively about the new blog and I can't wait to share it with you all. It's called Money Motivation Mindset.
It's August, and you know what that means... It's officially acceptable to talk about Fall and all autumn things. (Which happens to be my favorite season.)
So, that means tonight I'm putting on a Halloween sort of show or movie, and lighting my pumpkin candle that smells too delicious, in my opinion.
I hope this post was helpful and you have a lovely day. Until next time. Xx. -A
These are excellent tips. Especially for living a healthy and well balanced lifestyle.
